Prospect Range Projects is a gallery and event space dedicated to the creative talents of artists and their families living and working in central Brooklyn.
Since 2009, the Range has served this community through performance, exhibitions, and arts education. We seek to support new and emerging talent through growth opportunities in the visual arts, relying on our years as arts educators to provide career pathways in the creative arts.
John Wilkes has taken his fascination with nocturnal urban landscapes to Naples, Italy in this new body of work. The acid colors of sodium vapor lighting are only the most recent layer in the many ancient veneers of the Neapolitan streetscape, and these new paintings, completed since his excursion there in 2016, capture the mysterious chaos of that fascinating place.
